Back in March Ben and I went to Thailand for two weeks, our first trip over seas together…my first overseas trip EVER!
One of the hardest part about planning our little trip was deciding what camera to take. I felt like it should be a holiday, no lugging around gear and lens and extra batteries and memory cards…etc/etc. So I took a fuji x100 (digital camera) and my polaroid 180 (old school polaroid pull appart pack film camera) and some film (any photos with extra boarders are polaroid/film). Our adventure began in Phuket,… our first day was also Bens birthday! So we did some touristy things and then headed into Patong Beach,
Day two happen to be our 6th anniversary, so we went on an Island tour, with snorkelling, islands, caves….. we threw a piece of banana at a monkey in a tree from our boat at one point…I think they fed us too. But I loved the snorkelling, I could have swam around Khai Nai island and drunk cocktails from pineapples all day! After the tour we went out for dinner, Thai food is THE BEST in Thailand. Doy Tao Thai just doesn’t compare now sadly. Ben asked me to marry him when we got back to our villa, of course I said yes!
Then the rest of the trip was spent in Bangkok, Wat day, Weekend Markets, Khao San Road, BMK, Siam Paragon, Lop Buri and the Monkey temple, ladyboys, tasty food, cheap drinks and all the tuktuks and taxi’s……..AWESOME TRIP! I’m ridiculously, madly, stupidly happy …incase you cant tell from the photos 🙂
