Registry weddings are beautifully simple, close friends and family, nice simple ceremony, sign the official papers, then go off and get some AMAZING photos. We started our time together at Eddie & Nora’s Pyrmont apartment, home to their two cats, Tiger and Moshi. Tiger features in the our photos (Moshi hid under the couch because off all the movement and people) he was sniffing all our gear, the dress we hang in the living room, the rings, the makeup artists box… EVERYTHING that didn’t belong in his space!
Eddie’s mother made the tea for the traditional Chinese tea ceremony and imparted some wise words to Nora as to why the ceremony is special in their culture. And how it symbolizes them accepting her into their family. As with all ceremonies that were happening that day, it was brief and involved Eddie’s Parents, Brother and Eddie & Nora.
We’re had some amazing sushi for lunch and talked about the organic fruit that Eddie’s brother brought over from his Mothers garden, how they met at the shark bar playing pool almost 3 years ago, how Eddie went rock/stone hunting in Chinatown and had the ring made specially for Nora and how they’re expecting their first child in a couple months time!!!
Eddie & Nora tied the knot on Wednesday in Sydney’s registry office at 2pm, 8.5 people were there (including the official, Sam & myself…..and their little Nora/Eddie! 🙂
